I am a believer in pursuing your passion. Growing up as a Korean American, I wasn’t necessarily asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, but rather, I was told to choose between two options: doctor or lawyer. Instead, I defied these expectations and set my sights on a career in the creative fields. I knew I was a creator, building and designing around my passions. Once I discovered graphic design, I knew this was the field I wanted to be in.

Graphic design is my creative outlet and my way of sharing what matters to me. I love finding inspiration in music, TV shows, and my hobbies, as they allow me to play and experiment with my work. I enjoy making posters based on my favorite new pop music releases or the current shows I am watching, but I don’t let that limit my capabilities. With every design, I ensure that every aspect is created with intention, allowing my work to be clean, balanced, and effective in communicating its message. My work is a reflection of my personal life, as I tend to keep my spaces well-organized and orderly. As I’ve learned to explore new techniques and push past my comfort zone, I’ve discovered more about myself as an artist and connected more deeply with others through design.
